15 year old me created a Google doodle, and here's the story behind
Back in 2015, I participated in Google India's Doodle 4 Google annual student doodling competition, and designed a doodle with the theme "GeM Rice - Genetically Modified Rice that can grow in any terrain". The inspiration for this sparked from the film 1: Nenokkadine's Golden Rice which was penned by Jakka Hariprasad.
After a lot of planning and running out of time to actually draw and paint my doodle I failed to attempt to design a doodle in the competition's 2014 edition. Hence, the next year, I was very determined to put forth my design this time, and squeezed all the free time I had to conceptualize the idea, according to the theme "If I could create something for India, it would be...".
I still remember the theme for 2014, which was, "A place in India I wish to visit", and being the dessert enthusiast, I had finalised Kolkata to be the place, with a design involving the Howrah Bridge, Gulab Jamun and Rasgulla (or as Bengalis love to call it Roshogulla).
Although not possible, If Google let me take part in the competition (possibly an age-open version) I'd be happy to doodle again!
